GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) is a ministry for the youth of the St. Nectarios community between the grades of 7th and 12th. The mission of the St. Nectarios GOYA is based on three pillars: Faith, Fellowship, and Service, in order to help the youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus, become active members of our parish, participate in acts of service, and to grow closer to other Orthodox teens.
The St. Nectarios GOYA ministry provides a weekly space in our parish where youth can gather and discuss topics of our Orthodox Christian Faith in the context of their lives as teenagers today, as well as a way to help facilitate supportive peer friendships among the Orthodox Christian teenagers.

GOYA meets every Thursday from 7-9 pm to participate in interactive sessions, written and led by young adults from the St. Nectarios Church. In addition to the lessons, the group also participates in fun social outings as well as local community service, such as visiting the Philoxenia House, food drives, raising money for charity, etc. The different types of activities throughout the year help to reinforce the mission and goals of our GOYA and to provide tools for the youth so that they can journey together on the road to salvation.
